HEYDUDE Coffin Shoe
CD/AD: Lance Ford
In recent years, more and more people are jokingly expressing that when their time comes, they “better be buried in something comfortable.”
Rest in Peace & Comfort
So we pitched this idea where HEYDUDE would take that insight literally by creating a full-scale coffin designed to look like an iconic Wally shoe.
Shot with reverence and tongue firmly in cheek, our reveal video would frame HEYDUDE comfort as something so essential, you’d want it for your final resting place.
The World’s Most Comfortable Man Has Died
In addition to the coffin video, we’d create a character who would be buried in said coffin and share his “shoe wealth” with the living.
Refusing to let his philosophy of "aggressive leisure" die with him, we’ll share a reading of his Last Will and Testament, directing his estate to distribute HEYDUDE shoes to the public via a landing page.
The Procession & Burial
As a stunt, we would have a hearse with large clear windows in the back drive the Most Comfortable Man and his shoe coffin around town with a funeral procession in tow.
The procession would end in a public space, where the coffin would be put on display for everyone to see. A QR code at the burial site will let passersby claim their “inheritance” from the landing page.
